A 4 day cleanse retreat

As winter melts away, spring offers the perfect time to cleanse the body and soul. After months of cold, damp weather, our system often holds onto excess mucus and heaviness. A gentle cleanse helps clear the old, allowing for the freshness and vitality of the new season to flow in. When we don't help our body cleanse, it will do so on its own—sometimes making us feel unwell.

We know that it can be quite challenging to do this on your own. So why go through it alone? Cleansing in a supportive, shared space makes the process not only easier but also more profound. When we come together, we amplify our commitment, hold space for each other, and create a container for deeper transformation. The shared experience fosters motivation, connection, and a sense of ease—allowing you to truly surrender to the process.

 

Join us for a community-driven Kitchari cleanse retreat, where we’ll guide you through a 4-day monodiet of this soothing, easy-to-digest Indian dish. We’ll provide the space for deep healing, allowing your body to reset, release and bring what's ready to the surface at the beautiful Grounded Roots retreat center in the heart of The Netherlands.

Why a kitchari cleanse?


In Ayurveda, ancient wisdom teaches that the body thrives when we align with the rhythms of nature. Over 5,000 years ago, it was understood that cleansing the body with the change of seasons is essential for maintaining balance and vitality. Let’s reconnect with this timeless knowledge and honor the natural cycles that support our well-being.

What is kitchari?
Kitchari is a traditional Ayurvedic Indian dish made from yellow mung beans, basmati rice, ghee (or a vegan oil), vegetables and spices due to your constitution. It’s known for being easy to digest, so great for a cleanse as the body knows what is coming and doesn't have to 'work' so hard. Kitchari helps nourish the body while giving the digestive system a chance to rest and reset. This warm, comforting dish is healing for the body but also calming for the mind.

Her passion for self-care and mindful living is contagious & she will help you understand how to nourish your body in a way that feels natural and sustainable.

Kirsten has walked the path of deep transformation herself, learning to slow down, reconnect & truly feel. She understands what it means to reset—both physically and mentally—and has created Grounded Roots as a place where others can experience that same sense of renewal. With her warm presence and intuitive guidance, she will hold space for you to unwind, release, and rediscover clarity in the peaceful surroundings of the retreat center.
